Timeless Design

Located just a few miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, North Carolina, this single family home was designed for a couple seeking a modern mountain retreat.

The chosen site contained the remnants of a previous home that was abandoned seven years prior during construction. The primary goals for the project were to open the home to the outdoors and views, situate the primary spaces on a single floor, and blend the design into the landscape.

A New Life for the Landscape

Primary living spaces on one level ensure ease of use, while guest quarters and bonus rooms await below for life’s evolving needs.

The new architectural design takes advantage of the existing view corridors by focusing major window openings to the building corners. In addition, the outdoor spaces of the home are connected to the interior with large expanses of glass.
