The Sherbino Theatre was formed to save, revitalize and operate the 100-year-old venue.
The proposed design will provide a renovated facility that is beautiful, inspiring, highly functional, and environmentally responsible. From a sustainability standpoint, the design incorporates intelligent systems that reflect operational efficiency, minimal ongoing maintenance, and minimized carbon footprint.
A New Life for the Landscape
The New Sherbino offers a performance hall and acoustical environment unparalleled on the Western Slope.
Doubled seating capacity and quality performances will bring greater patronage and more than triple the Sherbino’s annual impact on the regional economy. The Venue will also attract visitors to our community raising Ridgway’s profile as a tourist destination.
The Venue will also provide new, inspiring meeting and event spaces for Ouray County’s many nonprofit organizations. It will be a model of technological innovation, serving not only as a “co-working” space with high-speed internet, but will also provide top-tier projection and sound systems that will allow program streaming from around the world in its state-of-the art space.
